Sweden U21 vs Italy U21 2 DNB

This will be great match to watch. With Italy with their backs on the wall and Sweden after 5:1 win in their opening match I can’t wait for the clash to start. Yesterday I backed Italy on Confederation Cup and I lost, today I will back them again and we will see what will happen.

I know it is a risky decision. Italy didn’t make almost nothing against Serbia and the Swedish made an impressive start, but the main reason for backing Italy are the Swedish. It is really difficult to play with 70 players last 10 matches and then to win against really strong team as Italy.

The fact that Sweden will be host at this tournament isn’t helping at all for those youngsters.

Both teams have no problems with the squad. None of them have lost in their five matches. I back Italy here, but I will secure myself with DNB.

Egypt vs Italy 2

I was really surprised to see the bookies have offered 1.65 for Italy to win this match. The reason of course is the poor play against USA and three goals scored by Egyptians against Brazil. However, to score against Brazil is something different to score against Italy. I am not saying that Italians are better than Brazil, but they are definitely wiser.

One more thing the Azzurri know what they will meet tonight and the preparation is already made. “There will be some changes, but I won’t reveal what changes,” said Marcello Lippi for newspaper in Italy. “I will not make the formation with the match against Brazil in mind, only the one against Egypt. I will use the best possible line-up because a defeat would make the match against the Brazilians very difficult.”

Egypt has their problem as Ahmed Al Muhamadi is suspended for the match. Here are possible line-ups according to goals.com:

Egypt: El Hadari; H. Said, Gomaa, I. Said, Moawad; Shawky, Hassan, Fathi, Rabou, Treika; Zidan, in 4-5-1 formation.

Italy: Buffon; Zambrotta, Cannavaro, Chiellini, Grosso; Gattuso, Pirlo, De Rossi; Rossi; Gilardino, Iaquinta, in 4-3-1-2 formation.

Phoenix vs Minnesota – Under 183.5

It is a bit difficult to predict under 183.5 points for that match, because both teams have finished all games with over until now, but this is what I think will happen tonight. Phoenix has only one game over those 183.5 offered by the bookies and this is the last game against Sacramento, but the match finished in over time. Minnesota also has only one game above 183.5 point scored by both teams and this was in the opening game against Chicago finished with 187 scored points.

Even more, if we take a closer look into the history is easy to see that just twice Minnesota and Phoenix have finished with more than 183.5 points.

All this data are good enough to bet an under here and to cross fingers for Minnesota not to hit more than 50% from the field.

Sweden 21 vs Belarus 21 – 1

I have watched teams from Belarus 8 or 9 times. From those games I have learned one thing – Belarus players play strong, hard and physical football. And it works, especially with teams which depends of their football skills and control over the ball.

I have never watched Swedish under 21 squad, but I do not think they are team like those I wrote for a bit above. I imagine some strong and tall boys who can run 90 minutes without any problem. This is the reason that I think I will back Sweden here.

There are few things that confuse me. The first is the fact that Sweden haven’t played a single important match for two years, just friendlies. The second is that in those friendlies the coach duo have tried more than 70 players and they combine the squad just a month ago. The third one and final is the home advantage and will this really be advantage or disadvantage.

For those three reasons I probably will bet against the host in the matches with Italy and Serbia, but not today. Today I think Swedish players will outrun Belorussian and this will be enough for the win.

Start vs Molde – Over 2.5

Whoever wins today between Start and Molde will take the second place in Norwegian Tippeliga. Both teams are in good form and are from the favorites for the top places on the table.

I am a bit surprised from the good games Molde have played recently and I do not think they can handle it for long time. The question is can they hold in this games with Start?

Both teams make lot of opportunities for goals: Molde 5.5 per game and Start a bit more with 5.8 per match, however Start’s defense is slightly worse. They let the opponents to make 3.75 opportunities per match. Stats for Molde defense shows 3.08 opportunities for their opponents.

All those data push me to bet today on over 2.5 goals for this match.

Bulgaria – Ireland 1

I have to admit, I am from Bulgaria and may be my heart is writing this, not my mind, but I can not see a way the the Irish defense will handle Bulgaria’s offense. Manchester trio Dimitar Berbatov, Martin Petrov and Valeri Bojinov are too heavy for almost every defense, what can we say for the Irish one.

Bulgaria can have something in the midfield where is Stilian Petrov who made a great season for Aston Villa and Stanislav Angelov who is playing in the Bundesliga. The defense is the worst line for Bulgaria, but those players could hold Robbie Keane and Co only to one goal in Ireland, I can’t see a reason why the defenders would play worse tonight.

“This is our hardest game in the group,” said Republic assistant coach Liam Brady and I think he is right. Ireland have some problems in the squad: the defender Paul McShane remains an injury doubt for the match and Richard Dunne took a limited part in training before the game. Earlier this week, midfielder Darron Gibson was ruled out of Saturday’s World Cup qualifier because of a groin injury.Trapattoni also called up goalkeepers Birmingham City’s Colin Doyle and Wayne Henderson from Preston North End following Dean Kiely’s walkout from the squad last weekend and Kieren Westwood’s unavailability because he is getting married, informed BBC.

At conclusion, to bet for Bulgaria today seems to be good enough.

Belasica vs Levski – under 2.5

Levski is struggling those days and the fans already have started to boo against the coach Emil Velev. The strikers miss the opportunities and the defense is not good at all. However, the win at road against Belasica is something that should be considered as 99% secure. The question is how this will happen.

I am quite sure that the coefficient of 4.5 for under 2.5 goals for this match is enough. The players of Belasica already know that they will relegate this season, so the pressure upon them will be less, so I expect better game from them.

Albirex – Brunei DPMM under 2.5

Albirex and Brunei DPMM are two teams playing in Singaporean league and they are teams with completely different point of view for football. The newest team in the league Brunei DPMM is conceded only five goals in the league and probably have the best defense there. Brunei with stand up against three time more goals conceded team of Albirex.

Here I would play away win, but I am afraid of goalless draw, so I am going more for under. The coefficient of 2.05 is giving me even more to bet under, cos I do not believe that those two teams has bigger chance to score more than 2 goals today.

Moenchengladbach – Bochum Under 0:1

Is it possible Moenchengladbach – Bochum to score under 2.5 goals in this match? Moenchengladbach has scored 8 goals in last two games and has scored in every match in the last ten without the match against Stuttgart 0:2. At the other hand the last 4 away games for Bochum finished under. Could the Bochum’s defense hold the attack present by Moenchengladbach? I think yes.

For me this match is something around 1:0 or 2:0 for the host.

VfL Bochum’s defender Marc Pfertzel has been suspended for two games and will miss the game, but the striker Diego Klimowicz is back in team training.

Line-ups as expected, taken by bundeliga.de:

M?nchengladbach: Bailly – Stalteri, Brouwers, Daems, Levels – Galasek, Bradley – Baumjohann – Matmour, Friend, Marin

Bochum: Fernandes – Concha, Fabian, Mavraj, Fuchs – Sestak, Dabrowski, Imhof, Azaouagh – Epalle, Klimowicz

I’ll say it again. I believe more of Bochum’s defense rather than Moenchengladbach’s attack. So I will bet here on Under for 2.2 odds.

Lokomotiv Mezdra – Minyor 1 3:1

In the beginning of the Bulgarian league Lokomotiv Mezdra was pointed as a potential surprise. However, this did not happen. Some financial problems and many injured players left the team on the 8th place in the table.

Two draws in a row for Lokomotiv in the second half of the season which contribute opposite feeling in their supporters. The home draw against Spartak Varna, which is bellow the line with really poor game for Lokomotiv and good draw away in the Bulgarian capital Sofia versus Slavia.

One key player will miss this game for Lokomotiv. This is former Bulgarian national player Predrag Pagin (on the picture). The defender will be out for a month. Another central defender Milko Makendziev will also miss this game, as well as the keeper Radostin Stanev.

Minyor started really great with good game against Lokomotiv Sofia despite the huge loss with 1:5. This was followed by the draw at home against one of the strongest team in Bulgaria Litex. The motivation is on highest level and they will come to Mezdra to gain some points.

However, I do not think this will happen. In championships like Bulgarian the home advantage takes huge part in the game. Lokomotiv has better players in the midfield and higher self-confidence. This will be enough for home win, which is with really good odds – 2.1.
